Article: A treatment at the Free Persephone Spa

A treatment at the Free Persephone Spa

A treatment at the Free Persephone Spa

After celebrating my 10th anniversary living in Le Marais, you know very well that I'm a Right Bank girl... my friends make fun of me, but I don't care! So when I do go to the Left Bank, it's for a good reason.

Since this summer, I have heard about the Free Persephone Spa, and I absolutely wanted to try!

I talked about it in my shopping day recap, "Like in Japan, in Paris", but I've decided to tell you more about this place that I love so much...

Directly inspired by New Orleans, the homeland of the American creator who has lived in Paris for many years, this spa is a real revelation for Paris. More than an institute, it's a true space of well-being where calm and voluptuousness reign, of course, but also conviviality. This space is simultaneously a designer boutique, a retailer of organic products (skincare, nail polishes, beauty accessories, ...), a gourmet tea room, a nail salon, and a spa offering treatments originating internationally (with organic products). Many keywords made me fall in love: #WorldBeauty #Organic #Liberty #Zen&Beautiful #Travel, all in a very cozy and girly cocoon. The armchairs in large floral prints are EVERYTHING! And the beautiful tree in the middle of the room adds a touch of nature that underlines the organic approach and reminds us that it's Spring every day #SpringEveryday!

A true moment of escape... which I chose with the Shigeta lifting facial treatment: "Japanese Garden" which highlights all the know-how and ritual of Japanese care. The scent of roses put balm in my heart for the day. I left feeling well-rested, with radiant and well-hydrated skin. Perfect to face the first of the cold winter...

An olfactory experience

The creator of the place, Lauren Creecy, is a perfumer and therefore naturally conceived Free Persephone as a Fragrance Day Spa in Paris, the first of its kind to offer her clients more than a treatment: a sensory experience that enhances well-being. Each treatment is formulated according to the client's needs, desires, and skin type because we don't all need the same thing at the same time. The treatments are therefore custom-made, offering a beautiful escape in a treatment room overlooking the garden.

The discovery of the concept of social beauty

Many (too many) salons are designed like this: you walk in / you get your treatment / you leave / thank you, goodbye!
What a shame! Why not blend business with pleasure by offering a place that perfectly combines a tea room, a boutique, a treatment space... all in a warm atmosphere. That’s exactly what Lauren achieved with her first salon, Free Persephone. The welcome is absolutely lovely, and once you step through the door, you simply won’t want to leave — just like me! I ended up spending three hours there for what was supposed to be a one-hour treatment…

Embracing the values (that I share):

Smile / Connect / Respect / Enjoy / Take your time — and I’d add one more to complete the list: Go organic!
