Paris
As beautiful as Paris is, did you know that it has few elegant and fancy salons? In fact, Parisian nail salons have a reputation for being unsanitary, with plain furniture and nail technicians with poor technique. To improve this situation, Lauren Creecy, an American
who has lived in Paris for 15 years, opened a new salon named “Free Persephone” at the end of September.
Free Persephone is a very cozy space. Once you step inside, you feel like staying for the entire day. It is a dream day spa designed around the concept of fragrance. You can enjoy nail service together with a group of friends and family at a large table. Flowers are
displayed everywhere within the spacious area of 150 square meters. You can receive a luxurious pedicure while sitting on a comfortable flower-print couch in a tea room while having a cup of tea and a delicious scone. And you can even get a facial and body care
with “Shigeta” oil in a separate area at the back of the salon. The space has plenty of sunlight and a warm atmosphere, giving you the feeling of being in a vacation home in Normandy or Kent, England.
“Nail salons in Paris have closed, unimaginative atmospheres, don’t they? I was picturing the image of Persephone, the Greek goddess, as the inspiration for my salon, with spring flowers and a sunny, blue sky with flourishing sunshine stretching out forever. I wanted to
create a salon where everyone would have a wonderful, relaxing experience that they could share with their friends and family,” says Creecy.
